Week ending 19th January

* Acorn Class Update *
Hold onto your hats, folks, what a week for Acorn class
Year 2 dove headfirst into their money unit, while Reception embraced the number 5- talk about living on the edge! Year 1 took the classroom outdoors, investigating the mysteries of one more and one less, and our handwriting? Oh, it was like calligraphy in the clouds as we painted letters with weather-inspired finesse!
Design and Technology saw us embark on a culinary adventure, not just exploring fillings but diving deep into the world of bread. Brace yourselves – naan bread and marmalade are now our absolute must-haves! Who knew? The EYFS kids aced tally creation, while Year 1 and 2 turned data into bar graphs, proving once again that our teamwork is out of this world!
Literacy got wild with Paddington Bear's chaos, and our EYFS crew decided to recreate the bubbly bathroom scene through the magic of bubble art – talk about turning chaos into creativity!
It's been a week to remember, where each moment was as unique as our Jackson Pollock inspired snowman. Here's to the awesomeness that is Acorn Class – where every day is an adventure!
* Oak Class Update *
What an incredible week in Oak Class!
Our journey began with a thought-provoking assembly, diving into the age-old debate: Is an e-reader better than a book?
In English, we've embarked on a creative adventure, crafting vivid descriptions of the Iron Man and innovating our own characters from unique materials.
Science brought magnetic excitement as we explored the mysteries of magnetic poles through engaging investigations.
Meanwhile, in the world of Computing, Oak Class has been mastering the art of programming with Logo, guiding turtles across digital landscapes with precision and skill.
And, let's not forget the linguistic charm in our French class – where we not only learnt body parts but also sang and performed a lively song in French!
What a week of discovery, creativity, and cultural immersion!
