Get to know us. Day 2...
Get to Know Us: Day 2 – Our Exciting Collaboration with St George’s!
Welcome to Day 2 of our “Get to Know Us” series! Today, we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on our fantastic partnership with St George’s Church of England Primary School in Chorley.
Since March 1, 2019, Mossy Lea has been proudly collaborating with St George’s, a school recently awarded Outstanding by Ofsted. Under the guidance of our Executive Headteacher, Mr Andy Purcell, who oversees both schools, we are fortunate to benefit from the expertise of a National Leader of Education.
This collaboration isn’t just about shared leadership; it’s about enriching our entire school community. Here’s how:
Enhanced Learning Opportunities: Thanks to our partnership, Mossy Lea children now enjoy a broader array of enrichment activities. From exciting residential trips to unique educational visits, our children have access to experiences that expand their horizons and spark their curiosity. Something a small school could not ordinarily offer.
Shared Resources and Experiences: St George’s pupils make use of our beautiful forest area, while our students get to benefit from St George’s extensive facilities. This cross-pollination of resources helps us create dynamic and engaging learning experiences for everyone involved.
Professional Growth for Our Staff: Our collaboration provides invaluable experience for our teaching staff. Working alongside the talented educators at St George’s enhances their professional development, which in turn helps us attract and retain top-notch talent.
Financial Stability: In challenging budgetary times, our partnership offers significant financial efficiencies, ensuring the long-term stability of Mossy Lea. This allows us to concentrate on delivering an exceptional education.
We’re incredibly proud of this collaboration and excited for the many benefits it brings to our children and staff.
