Week Ending 11th October

🌟 Another Busy Week at School! 🌟

We've had a fantastic and activity-filled week, with lots of exciting learning happening across all our classes!

🌍 During our whole school assemblies, we’ve continued our celebration of Black History Month. This week, the children learned about the influential poet Benjamin Zephaniah. They enjoyed his poems—especially "Talking Turkeys"—and discovered how he uses his voice to raise awareness about racism, as well as both animal and human rights. 📝❤️

🔬 In Acorn Class, our young scientists have been working hard! They had a blast learning all about the sense of taste, trying different foods—including sour and salty treats. In Computing, we wrapped up our animated stories project. Now, their stories have words, pictures, sound, and movements! Keep an eye on Seesaw as they will be uploaded soon. 🎨💻

📞 In Oak Class, the children had a great time making their own string telephones! They were amazed to learn how well sound can travel through a solid object. In Computing, we've just started a short unit on creating concept maps using 2Connect on Purple Mash. 🧠🖥️

It’s been a week full of discovery and fun, and we’re looking forward to another one next week! 😊
