Ofsted Inspection Report

I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt thanks to you all for your continued support and encouragement. It is with immense pride that I share the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection. While this was an ungraded Section 8 inspection, it was clear to inspectors that Mossy Lea Primary School has improved significantly across all areas. This is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the dedication, resilience, and passion of everyone involved in our school community.

At the heart of Mossy Lea is a team of exceptional staff who pour their energy and expertise into creating an inspiring and nurturing learning environment. To our brilliant children—your curiosity, kindness, and enthusiasm shine through in everything you do. And to you, our parents and families, your unwavering support strengthens the very foundation of our school.

The report highlighted what we already know: that Mossy Lea is a place where children thrive, where learning is exciting, and where every child is given the support and encouragement to aim high. Our pupils' impeccable behaviour, confidence, and love of learning reflect the values we hold dear.

But we are not stopping here. As Walt Disney famously said, 'Around here, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.' This report is not the finish line but a springboard for even greater things ahead.

Together, we will continue to build on this success, ensuring that Mossy Lea remains a place where children flourish, where families feel welcome, and where we continue to set high standards for learning, creativity, and community spirit.

Thank you again for being part of this journey. The best is yet to come!
